SELECT BOARD MINUTES FOR MEETING
MARCH 17, 2015 7:00 pm

Present: Lynn Arnold, Larry Mandell and Michael Kennedy
Lynn Arnold called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

Resignation of Executive Secretary Kimberly was announced as of March 17, 2015.
APPOINTMENTS:
7:05 - Doug Curving, 3 Pine Tree, Holland, MA (his permanent residence is Northborough, MA) – Came to speak about another Town Board and his purpose was to bring to the Public’s attention how he has been treated in the attempt to get his septic plans approved. Mr. Curving had his septic plans to this particular board in November 2014 – that his septic plans were done by an engineering firm, he filed his plans as engineer advised. Mr. Curving has a small lot, nothing unique to Town of Holland properties around the lake. He has been through 7 meetings and an 8th meeting coming up. He has never heard of such delays and never knew about setting policy concerning well testing. There was
Old Business:
Inspector of Animals: Jamie Howard was nominated, seconded and voted in.
New Business:
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Lynn Arnold made the following announcements:
- 7:00 pm on Friday March 20, 2015 a basketball game will be played between the Holland Police and the 7th and 8th grade Holland All Stars at Tantasqua Junior High. This fundraiser will raise money so all Holland children can play recreational sports regardless of ability to pay. There will be half-time games and a 50/50 raffle. Cost of admission is $1.00 for adults, children are free.
- April 2, 2015 at Henry the Juggler will perform at Holland Elementary School .. Free Admission.
- Senator Anne Gobi’s District Director Tyle Wolanin will be at Town Hall Community room March 18, 2015 from 1-2 pm
- April 11 – Dancing with the Stars at Burgess School, Sturbridge
WARRANTS were signed for:
Open Meeting: Dave Kowalski requested to be put on agenda for next Selectmen Meeting April 7, 2015 and requested that Lynn Arnold, Selectwoman not chair that meeting and that Mike Kennedy chair the meeting so Mr. Kowalski would be treated fairly. Mike Kennedy declined and Ms. Arnold will chair the meeting
Motion to adjourn at 7:35 pm by Mr. Mandell, seconded Mr. Kennedy. All in favor.
